Connect Claude to Sensefold

Part of Sensefold for agents — the overview, permission tiers, and tool table.

Claude (claude.ai and the desktop apps) supports remote MCP servers through custom connectors, so your whole Sensefold library becomes something Claude can search, read, and write to — with the source items in hand.

Setup

1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan an admin adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web.
2. Paste the Sensefold MCP endpoint:

   https://api.sensefold.app/mcp

   Claude detects the server’s authentication; leave Authentication on the detected Always required setting.
3. Click Add, then complete the authorization prompt in your browser. You will pick a permission tier during authorization: read-only (search and read), edit (also save and update), or full (also delete).
4. In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors, and make sure Sensefold is turned on.

No API key is needed — authorization runs over OAuth and is revocable anytime from Sensefold You → For agents. In Claude’s connector settings you can also block individual tools — for example set delete_item to Blocked on a full-access connection.

Every write Claude makes is versioned in Sensefold — review, diff, and revert any change from the item’s history. See agent permissions for tiers, revocation, and undo, and privacy for agents for what Claude can see.
